All of the photographs that appear on this website, including the many additional photographs within the sample trip and trip report documents, were taken by me unless otherwise stated or unless I am actually in them.
In terms of this gallery, excluding the tiger and gorilla photographs, which are scans of my older pictures, all of the photographs were taken with a digital SLR camera from February 2009, as I was reluctant to abandon traditional film and only finally switched to digital photography towards the end of 2008.
Thirteen of my photographs, including some within this gallery, appear in ‘A field guide to the Larger Mammals of Tanzania’, one of the Wild Guides series published by Princeton University Press. These pictures were donated for a publication that is likely to become an indispensable field guide for Tanzania and I am generally happy for my photographs to be used for either genuine conservation purposes or in an educational format. Please therefore contact me if you would like to use any of the pictures that appear on this website and please click on the thumbnails below for a larger view of each image.
